Privacy Policy

Effective date: 20 June 2026  ·  Last updated: 20 June 2026

BuildStation ("we", "our", or "us") operates the platform at buildstation.in. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

By registering on BuildStation — whether as a manufacturer or dealer — you consent to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who we are

BuildStation is a B2B platform that connects building material manufacturers with their authorised dealers. We are based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. For any privacy-related queries, contact us at tarunkmg07@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect only the data necessary to operate the platform:

We do not collect payment card details, bank account numbers, Aadhaar numbers, or any sensitive personal data as defined under the DPDP Act.

3. How we use your data

We use your data solely to operate and improve BuildStation:

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making that affects your rights.

4. Who can see your data

We never share your data — including your GSTIN, stock quantities, or pricing — with tax authorities, government bodies, or any third party, unless required by a court order under Indian law.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), hosted in the asia-south1 (Mumbai) region. Firebase is ISO 27001 certified and SOC 2 compliant. We use Firebase security rules to ensure only authorised users can access their own data.

We do not store historical stock snapshots. When you update your stock, only the current values are retained — there is no record of past quantities or prices maintained by us.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, contact us at tarunkmg07@gmail.com and we will delete it within 30 days.

7. Your rights under the DPDP Act 2023

As a data principal under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email us at tarunkmg07@gmail.com.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use Firebase Authentication, which stores an encrypted authentication token in your browser's localStorage to keep you logged in between sessions. This token contains only your user ID and session information — no personal data is stored in it.

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or analytics scripts that share data with external parties. We do not use Google Analytics or any similar service.

You can clear your browser's localStorage at any time via your browser settings, which will sign you out of BuildStation. No other data is affected.

9. Children's data

BuildStation is a B2B platform intended for use by businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 years of age.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of BuildStation after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
